Here is some information about school/class routines:
Communication
The easiest and quickest way to contact me is via email. Email is usually checked before school, during lunch, and at the end of the day. You can also call the school and leave a message, or write a note.

Homework
Purpose:
1. Is an important part of a student’s success
2. May be differentiated or specific to many students
3. Is part of students' learning activities, which is 20% of the quarterly grade
4. Is due the day after assigned, unless otherwise noted, or no credit is given
6. May be assigned Monday-Thursday nights, and occasionally on Friday
7. Include written assignments, Math IXL, & studying
8. Will be recorded in planners, posted in classroom, and listed on class website: www.mrsahlquist.weebly.com
Progress Reports
Students may receive a progress report approximately halfway through each quarter if they are struggling, declining, or failing in a particular subject/area. This report is used to give the student an opportunity to bring up the grade before their report card.
Upon arriving to class
3. Complete work as directed in class.
4. Clean and organize groups/desks before
leaving class:
Absence
If your child is absent, assignments may be retrieved from website and/or math buddy. Student may try work, but will have time to complete work once he/she has the notes and info. missed.
Missed work is recorded and is expected to be completed in a reasonable time frame, generally a day for every day absent.

- Take out required materials for class:
- binder
- pencil & highlighter
- homework assignment
- agenda

- push in / put up chairs
- check / clean floor
- organize personal
